Each object type in BM-windream can have an individual life cycle assigned to it. The life cycle controls the behavior of a data file or document over time from its creation to the end of the archiving period.
The life cycle parameters of a file can be reviewed via the life cycle tab of the extended properties window in the Windows® Explorer. If allowed by the object type definition, the preset life cycle parameters of a file can be changed manually here.
The current life cycle status of a file is depicted on a timeline which shows:
