Many analytical devices create raw data with a complex correlation: files containing measured data often refer to the related methods and sequences using paths. When archiving raw data this information is often lost and must be painstakingly restored in order to reprocess the data.
Archiving raw data using BM-windream has many advantages:
- The analyser sees BM-windream as a hard disk. When archiving raw the path information remains intact.
- With special module input, BM-windream is capable of extracting meta information from manufacturer specific files and to make it available in the archive for sequential search purposes. Consequently you can for example record meta information in the HPLC-System sequence file (project, sample, etc.) which can be later searched for in the archive.
- Raw data and reports are accessible in a common system and, with BM-windream and BM-Flow controlled documents can represent authorisation processes. Administrative, training and licensing costs can be significantly reduced compared to a solution based on multiple special applications.
